I was born in Gdynia, Poland, a mere twenty-minute bus ride from the Baltic Sea. In 1992 my family and I immigrated to Canada. Always reading and naturally curious about the world, I found communication challenging post-immigration. To face the inevitable language barrier, I began to draw.
While attending high school in Toronto, I concentrated on creative writing, literature, art, wood-shop and athletics. The post-secondary exposure to artistic expression led to further enrollment in the Drawing and Painting program at the Ontario College or Art & Design (OCAD). At OCAD, I also studied photography, sculpture, printmaking, digital media, Woodwork and metalwork; graduating in 2005.
During my studies at OCAD, I also attended the Burning Man Festival, a pivotal moment of my life where I decided to make art my profession.
Since the festival, I have created many different genres of work and successfully displayed them in gallery shows, art festivals, vending installations, art tours, painting performances, private homes and businesses.
I am continuously pushing for imaginative ways of reaching and engaging people with art with the intention of triggering discussion and critical thought.
